New Homes
We are very aware of the need for young people in the parish to find homes, stay in the area near their families and keep our community vibrant and alive.
The Boldre Parish Council Housing Survey has identified the need for more affordable homes to add to the nine new homes for which consent has recently been granted elsewhere in the parish.
The Estate is currently looking within its boundaries for a suitable site for approximately ten new homes. We propose that this modest, but high quality Community Housing Site will include five plots for affordable housing for local people in the parish, with the remainder being offered on the open market.
All the net proceeds from the sale of these plots will be ring-fenced in trust and used for the maintenance and upkeep of the Estate’s heritage properties.
That is our plan, but we would welcome your feedback on our proposals for new homes. Should we be providing sites for affordable homes? Where do you believe we should put them? Should we be helping young local families to stay and make their lives in the village?
