Pylewell Mill

The origins of the present building appeared in the 18th century with later additions constructed for its role as a power source for the estate.

Following the granting of planning permission, we can now progress with our plans for the sympathetic conversion of the mill into a small number of offices for letting out to high quality businesses. This will create valuable new employment for people in the area.

The development will also see the much needed restoration and preservation of the mill and the fascinating and historic ‘Poncelet’ water wheel that used to provide power for the sawmill.

The design, which has been drawn up by respected architects and specialists in listed buildings, Llewellyn Harker, will preserve and enhance the existing building, adding to it through strong, simple construction, suitable for its new use.
